When the Excitement Fades

1. Why didn’t Asa rely on God? (v.1-6)

When we get complacent - we get into trouble.

When we are comfortable we are no longer on guard .

How do we know what we can take care of and what is really too big for us?

a. God’s provision

3. How did Asa react when confronted? (v.10-13)

a. He took out his frustrations on the messenger.

b. He got angry with those who didn’t agree with him.

c. He stayed steeped in his own arrogance.

When the excitement fades, the hard work of trusting begins.
